Celebrating National School Counseling Month at Thirkell

Celebrating National School Counseling Month at Thirkell

February is National School Counseling Month, and at Thirkell Elementary–Middle School, we are proud to honor two incredible leaders who support our students every single day—Counselor Anderson and Counselor Vaughn.

Counselor Anderson and Counselor Vaughn play a vital role in helping our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. From offering guidance during challenging moments to celebrating student successes, they work tirelessly to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and valued. Their dedication helps create a safe and welcoming environment where students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Throughout the school year, our counselors partner with teachers, families, and staff to address student needs, promote positive decision-making, and build essential life skills. Whether through one-on-one conversations, small group support, or schoolwide initiatives, Counselor Anderson and Counselor Vaughn consistently show what it means to lead with compassion and care.

As we celebrate National School Counseling Month, we want to say thank you for the impact you make at Thirkell each day. Your commitment to our students strengthens our entire school community, and we are grateful for all that you do.

💐 Join us in celebrating Counselor Anderson and Counselor Vaughn for their outstanding service and dedication!
